The Icare Mattress Protector (Fitted Sheet Style) has an absorbent top layer to soak up small amounts of liquids and a waterproof bottom layer to protect the the mattress. It is as quick and easy to replace as a fitted bottom sheet A regular flat or fitted bottom sheet is usually used over it for comfort. Other absorbent products such as a bed pad can be placed over this mattress protector to provide higher absorbency, if required. Note that this mattress protector protects the top surface of the mattress only. It does not fully enclose the mattress and does not have waterproof sides.
